CAP and HPI have revealed details of their integration plans following the recently announced relocation of the HPI business from Salisbury to Leeds.
The Solera owned companies will operate jointly from CAP’s head office in Leeds with former HPI managing director Neil Hodson now acting as deputy managing director of both operations where he will lead commercial activities. Hodson will report to Ian Rendle, formerly the chief executive officer of CAP, who will lead both businesses as managing director, with a brief to also expand into Europe.
The company said that closer working between the two brands will create the only UK-based business with decision support data and software solutions spanning vehicle identification, valuation, validation, collision and mechanical repair and total cost of ownership.
“Discussions have already begun with leading dealer groups and OEMs, who have asked for a more cohesive approach to products, services, and company representation,” said Hodson.
“By enabling both companies to work more closely together we are making a statement of intent to the industry. We can bring together an unrivalled view of the market to meet customer needs that are constantly evolving. It will enable us to speed up the pace of innovation for the benefit of our UK customers”.
