Aston Barclay has launched an App to enable its trade customers to bid for cars with mobile smart devices.
AB LIVE App allows buyers to bid in sales across its four auction centres from wherever they are with a Wi-Fi or 3G connection.
It offers multi-lane bidding and provides buyers with vehicle information, inspection reports and prices from CAP and Glass’s.
The firm has plans to offer market intelligence availing of services from Deltapoint.
Trade buyers can download the App from iTunes or Google Play.
Aston Barclay marketing manager Tom Mapes said: “The growth of mobile technology over the past two years has been phenomenal.
“We have seen traffic to our website from mobile devices increase from 8% in 2012 to 38% in Q1 2014.
“The addition of our AB LIVE App is the first step in a programme of empowering our buyer community with new mobile and cloud based tools which allow them to source they stock they need wherever they want to,” he added.
