Minster Self Drive signs deal to use epyx’s 1link Hire Network

Middlesborough-based Minster Self Drive has signed a new deal to use the 1link Hire Network e-commerce platform.

Started in York in 2005, the family-run company now has branches in Wakefield, Middlesbrough and Sunderland, and is keen to identify opportunities to expand further.

This ambition for growth is the key motivator for adopting the epyx platform, which will enable Minster to reach a large pool of potential fleet customers.

Operations director Philip O’Rourke explained: “Essentially, our proposition is to offer an equivalent or superior level of service to national daily rental companies.

“We enjoy a high satisfaction rate from our corporate and retail customers by offering a quality and friendly car, van and minibus hire service, with a good choice of vehicles and competitive rates.

“Our fleet of hire cars, vans and minibuses are maintained to very high standards and we have a strong reputation for providing a modern and reliable fleet.

“Also, as BVRLA members, we operate to industry recognized standards and have a management team with combined experience of more than 100 years.”

Marc Lees, business development manager for epyx’s 1link platforms, added: “Minster is a growing daily rental company and certainly one to watch for the future, with excellent potential. We are pleased to welcome them to the platform.”

1link Hire Network is the market-leading rental platform in the fleet sector, adopted by more than 40 vehicle hire suppliers working with thousands of fleet operators of all sizes across the UK.

For purchasers of daily rental services such as major fleets, 1link Hire Network provides fast and easy online management of daily rental, including multi-supplier quotations and subsequent booking.

For daily rental suppliers, it provides access to new customers as well as fast and low-cost, electronically validated bookings alongside a range of other major process improvements.
