Apex Car Rental is latest to join epyx’s 1link Hire Network

Twenty-eight-day car hire specialist Apex Car Rental has signed up this month to use epyx’s 1link Hire Network.

Formed in 1988, Apex has a 3,500 vehicle fleet of Peugeot, Volkswagen, Kia, Toyota, Vauxhall, MINI and BMW vehicles, all of which are less than six months old. It has offices in Eastbourne and Weybridge as well offering a nationwide delivery service.

Alongside a range of standard daily and weekly rental services, Apex offers month-long rolling rental contracts to fleet and private customers on a nationwide basis.

Director Deana Grondona explained: “Clearly, more and more car rental business is being carried out online and 1link Hire Network will help us to reach a larger part of that customer base through its only community, as well as process them more efficiently.

“Our month-long rental proposition is quite specialised but has a well-established market for people working on temporary contracts, are waiting for a new car to be delivered or otherwise want a longer period than daily rental but shorter than contract hire.”

Marc Lees, business development manager for epyx’s 1link platforms, added: “Apex have a very interesting and well-developed proposition and we are pleased to welcome them to the platform.”

1link Hire Network is the market-leading rental platform in the fleet sector, adopted by more than 40 vehicle hire suppliers working with thousands of fleet operators of all sizes across the UK.

For purchasers of daily rental services such as major fleets, 1link Hire Network provides fast and easy online management of daily rental, including multi-supplier quotations and subsequent booking.

For daily rental suppliers, it provides access to new customers as well as fast and low-cost, electronically validated bookings alongside a range of other major process improvements.
