Vehicle Quality Solutions (VQS) has secured a new three year contract to provide vehicle inspection services to Fiat Group Automobiles in the UK. It follows a ten year period in which VQS have delivered inspection auditing for the car maker.
VQS will provide the service through their nominated refurbishment supplier, and will cover the de-fleet of management vehicles in preparation for the Fiat remarketing franchise network.
“Having worked with VQS previously, we knew the benefits of having an independent inspection company to provide a consistent approach to ensuring vehicle standards meet our requirements,” said Tristan Downs, Fiat Group Automobiles Remarketing Manager. “This guarantees our customers receive the same level of vehicle quality – every time, all of the time.”
“The three year agreement highlights the confidence in our consistent inspection services ensuring we assist in achieving Fiat’s objectives for managing their operating cost and remarketing targets,” added David Thomas managing director VQS. “We are looking forward to working with Tristan Downs and his remarketing team for many years.”
All VQS inspection staff are Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) members and undergo extensive training on accredited courses. The company says it will allocate resource to ensure personnel are experienced with the Fiat defleet process and will have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of all assets being inspected.
