BCA’s recent acquisition, AutosOnShow.TV, is providing best-in-class imagery with its AutoCAPTURE product to support BMW Group’s virtual sale.
BMW Group will auction its vehicles on 15 October 2014 at the Powerscourt Hotel Resort and Spa in Dublin, Ireland. Traditionally virtual sales, where no vehicles are present, use photos and a paper catalogue. BMW Group has chosen to have a fully digital sales catalogue with both video and HD images.
AutosOnShow.TV has designed and developed an app-based video and imaging solution specifically for the automotive industry, named AutoCAPTURE. Allowing dealer groups and other customers to upload high quality videos and professional imagery from an iPad or iPhone to their website in minutes, the on-device solution eliminates the need for cameras, cables and computers.
BMW used the new ‘pause’ feature to capture vehicles. This feature, which will be launched soon, ensures a flexible process so that a professional video can be created if video booths and turntables are not available. After taking the video, the user then has the option to take additional images, before reviewing the imagery and retaking any that aren’t perfect. The vehicle video and imagery can then be uploaded directly from the iPad and displayed on websites in less than three minutes.
Jonathan Beecham, Remarketing Operations Manager, BMW UK said, “AutosOnShow.TV technology is providing us with an innovative sales solution, which perfectly suits our business needs”.
Adam Price, MD of AutosOnShow.TV explains, “Our customers tell us that our AutoCAPTURE solution really speeds up the imaging process, with the added bonus of video. BMW is able to display a full 360 video of the vehicle to provide their buyers with even more confidence to bid online.”
BCA uses the same technology for its award winning BCA Video Appraisals service which displays 360 videos for its LCV sales in the UK.
